Special Place to Relax and Find Inspiration People usually prefer going to some special places that relax and inspire them. Visiting these places helps de-stress them and fills them with a new energy to face tough situations in life. I too face my share of difficult situations in life and I like to go to beaches whenever I am exhausted. Beach is that special place to me that relaxes and inspires me. I often visit this particular beach in the United States that is formed at the shoreline of an ocean. The best part of this beach is its vastness, and its exuding power and energy. The infiniteness of this creation of God makes my adversities and disappointments appear insignificant. Beaches make me generously appreciate the supremacy of God’s creation vis-à-vis man-made world and survival struggles. The magical moment created by a combination of natural factors rejuvenates me completely. The limitless shore, the gushing sounds of the wind, the cool breeze, the freshness and the unending waves under the dark sky put me into a state of awe. I get completely engrossed in it, forgetting all my worries and setbacks. This atmosphere of serenity and calmness refreshes and relaxes me from within. More importantly, it soothes my mind and my soul. The piousness of nature brings stillness to my wandering thoughts and channelizes them in a productive way. I can sit there for hours introspecting and finding solutions to my real life problems. Walking on the shore and analysing self, I at least gain peace of mind and a better understanding of self, if nothing else. Beaches not only relax, but also inspire me. They inspire me by their energy and continuity. They are ever so vivacious, energetic and full of life. Its vibrancy increases multi-folds with arrival of children. I can experience a positive flow of energy within me, while standing in front of the beach. The continuing and ever ending waves instil a ‘never say die’ attitude in me. It helps me stay put in difficult situations. The waves keep moving irrespective of hindrances like rock and stone pebbles. In fact, they strive so hard that the rock gets smoothened. Problems in life are very similar to rocks and hinder with our steady flow in life. However, if we strive hard, we can even these odds and stand victorious. The enigmatic characteristic of the ocean also inspires me. I can relate to the enigma of ocean with the mystery and surprises in life. The beach brings me closer to the nature and makes a better human being out of me. It helps me digress from the evils like jealousy, distrust, and corruption. It teaches me to trust; stay put in hardships; and give back to nature in all possible ways. It demonstrates selflessness and encourages me to serve the mankind. It helps me understand my inner self, my inner feeling and my consciousness. Thus, going to a beach relaxes me and inspires me. It relaxes me by its serene and magical atmosphere. The calmness and freshness helps me introspect and understand myself better. The boundlessness, vibrancy and continuity of the ocean inspire me to never give up, strive hard to fight adversities. It fills my mind with positivity and makes me a stronger person. Beach experience makes me a better person by removing evil thoughts from my mind and motivating me to contribute to the society at large. Overall, it brings me closer to myself.

Thanks! --- Topic: "Describe a place you go to relax and explain why and how this place is relaxing." In this hectic life, we all need a place of rest and relaxation. We need a place where we can temporarily get away from it all. Everyone needs a place like this, and for everyone that place will be different. For me, that place of rest and relaxation is the kitchen. Let me tell you why. First, the kitchen is a great place to unwind, because there's food there. Eating food is a very enjoyable thing, and it causes your body to release happy chemicals like dopamine and serotonin. For a brief moment, you are enraptured by the joy of food, and it causes all the stress of your life to melt away. Along with the dopamine produced directly by the food, your body also makes dopamine when you have successfully created a dish. You reached a goal, and your mind rewarded you for all your hard work. Not only is the kitchen a great place to relax because it has food, but it's also a place of quite introspection. I usually go there, even when I'm not hungry, just to walk around and look out the window. I think. It's a place where I can let all my thoughts come together and I can sort things out. The kitchen can also be a very social place, where everyone in the house gathers to make small talk and joke around. You feel connected with others, and it can make you realize that a lot of what you worry about, really doesn't matter. Friends and family are one of the most important things in your life. But perhaps one the most important reason that I think the kitchen is a relaxing place, is because for me it represents a place of symbolic, spiritual cleansing. The kitchen is usually dirty, and every few days I have to clean it. When that happens, I view the event as a representation of my own inner, spiritual state. When the kitchen is out of order, my life is chaotic. When the kitchen is clean, my life has order. In cleaning the kitchen, I once again bring order into my life. I will change the end of the first paragraph to (my thesis statement): "For me, that place of relaxation is the kitchen, because it is a place for food, friends, and thoughtful introspection. I'll also change the conclusion and once again summarize the main ideas. I'll practice another essay tomorrow. I'm sure it'll be an improvement.

Descriptive Essay: A Beautiful Place

I think we all have a beautiful place in our mind. I have a wonderful place that made me happy a lot of times, years ago. But sometimes I think that I am the only person who likes this place and I'm asking myself if this place will be as beautiful as I thought when I will go back to visit it again. Perhaps I made it beautiful in my mind. This place is meaningful to me because it is part of the county I loved, is part of the county where I grew up and is part of my childhood. This place is in the country in an old region named Appalachia, a small piece of the Appalachian Mountains, in a town named Pikeville. Pikeville is a polluted town because of the coal industry. People live in apartment or condominium buildings because of its little space available. I grew up in one of the many buildings in Pikeville admiring from my bedroom window the beauty of the mountains, always exploring with my eyes the forest or the meadows, looking for a clean and quiet place. And, I found one on a hill in the back of the town. It is about 100 feet square, it has seven old trees, wild flowers and a lot of bugs and ants during summer time. I used to go there to sit down on a rock and watch the town and my trees. There was a very old tree, a maple tree, with a huge trunk. The others were smaller, three in the back, three on my left side and the old maple tree on my right. There were flowers, many kinds, white, yellow, purple and blue. It was nobody's place. Nobody owned that hill, but it was beautiful and peaceful and I dreamed many times about a white house over there. I think that, these kinds of places are meaningful to people because they are natural and people can be there alone, away from their everyday life. I used to go there to be alone or to dream with my eyes open admiring the blue sky or the clouds. I liked to go there to lay down on the grass, listen to the wind, kiss the flowers and watch the leaves moving. It was hard to go up the hill to get there, but I wanted to see everyday my seven trees, to see how the color of the leaves changed and to feel the softness of the grass.
